Sales Assistant

Location: Southampton

Role: Sales Assistant - Full Time

Salary: £ 19,760.00

Job Type:              Full Time, Permanent

Location:               Hedge End, Southampton

Working Hours:     Monday – Friday.

Salary:                   £19,760 DOE + Quarterly Commission

Role responsibilities – Retail/Trade Sales Assistant:

• Providing exceptional customer service and experiences, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through your enthusiasm, excellent sales service and product knowledge

• Confidently engaging with customers and team members

• Driving sales performance through our training

• Understanding customer's needs and giving advice and inspiration for customer’s requirements

• Building relationships with both trade and DIY customers

• Generating new trade leads

• Working as part of a team to maintain showroom stock levels and store appearance

• Resolving customer queries in a professional manner

• You will need to have a smart appearance as this is a customer facing role

• Manual lifting will be involved

• You must be able to work as part of a team and be flexible to cover store open hours and weekends and bank holidays



Requirements for the Retail/Trade Sales Assistant

• Previous experience in a retail sales role or environment is preferable but not essential as training will be provided

• Friendly, helpful and confident with an engaging personality

• You will be comfortable with dealing with a variety of customer situations in a professional manner

• Ability to demonstrate energy, drive and a positive can-do attitude

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal

• Able to easily build rapport

• Able to ensure a complete customer experience


Warehouse Operative

Location: Southampton

Role: Warehouse Operative - Full Time

Salary: £ 21,500.00

Warehouse Operative

Job Type:             Full Time, Permanent

Location:              Southampton

Working Hours:    Monday – Friday 8am -5pm

Salary:                 Up to £21,500 DOE

Founded in 1875 Nicholls and Clarke Group are a manufacturer, distributor and retailer of building materials throughout the UK with a network of retail and distribution centres. We have a committed team of over 450 people supplying building materials to the trade and retail markets.

The Role – Warehouse Operative:

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to assist and have a flexible approach in all aspects of the warehouse operation. You will work as part of our Builders Merchants team of staff who prepare mixed pallets of:

•Sanitaryware

•Tiles

•Adhesives

•Ironmongery

Role responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative:

•Picking orders and building pallets and checking orders

•Replenishment of stock

•Storing stock safely

•Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

•Working as part of a team

•Ensuring you comply with the companies Health & Safety requirements

•Personal protective clothing and equipment to be worn at all times

•Work as part of our Builders Merchants team of staff

 

Requirements for the Warehouse Operative:

Experience and Licences:

•Experience working in a warehouse/Builders Merchants environment is essential

•Reach truck and counterbalance licences are desirable

•Forklift Truck experience is desirable

Personal Qualities:

•Honest and reliable with good time keeping skills

•You must live close to Chadwell Heath for easy access to the warehouse

•Physically fit and able to lift weights of up to 25kg safely

•Able to work Monday – Friday

•Able to speak clear and fluent English and write English to a good standard

•A good team player

•Attention to detail

•Good communication skills
