Due to a planned upturn in business, we are recruiting for Production Operatives who will ideally have precious experience within a manufacturing environment, but we will consider applications from people who don’t have this because we will be training you in full. It would be good if you have a Forklift Truck license/experience.



The Opportunity – Production Operatives:

Production Operatives will form part of a shift team and have specific duties within an assigned section although, with time, training will be given within other areas of production leading to multi skills development to suit the business. There will be opportunities in different sections, which allows people to acquire new skills and gain a better understanding of production processes.

You will need physical fitness, some strength and dexterity to succeed in the job. There may be a need to lift heavy objects, assemble parts, or engage in repetitive movements throughout a shift. The successful applicant will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications.

Although training will be provided in general, previous experience in production would be a distinct advantage with candidates showing experience in using production machinery. A forklift licence would be beneficial, but training would be provided for the right candidate.



Responsibilities – Production Operatives:

•    Running a semi-automated mixing plant manufacturing a wide range of products.

•    Running an automated filling line. Setting up and operation of specialised production machinery, ensuring each machine is always running effectively and safely.

•    Wrapping and stacking pallet in readiness for transfer to the warehouse.

•    Adhering to operational procedures and production timelines.

•    Maintaining and promoting a clean and organised work environment

•    Storing goods and raw materials in a factory or warehouse which may involve operating lifting equipment or forklift trucks.

•    Adhering to relevant Health and Safety protocol when operating machinery or and handling products.

The Role - Warehouse Operative – Forklift Driver - Backshift:



As the Warehouse Operative/ Forklift Driver you will assist and have a flexible approach in all aspects of the warehouse operation.



 



The shift pattern for this role will be:



Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week - from 12.00 noon to 10.00pm



 



We handle Sanitaryware, Tiles, Adhesives and Ironmongery for replenishing our pick faces during the afternoon and evenings.



 



Key responsibilities will include:




  • Picking orders and building pallets and checking orders

  • Replenishment of stock

  • Storing stock safely

  • Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

  • Working as part of a team

  • Ensuring you comply with the companies Health & Safety requirements

  • Personal protective clothing and equipment to be worn at all times

  • Work as part of our Builders Merchants team of staff



Key Requirements, Experience and Licences:




  • Builders Merchants Sanitaryware, Tiles, Adhesives and Ironmongery: 2 years

  • 2 years Forklift Truck experience is essential

  • Forklift Reach Licence and counterbalance licences

Key Responsibilities of the role:




  • Creating engaging and unique content for online and offline media with appropriate communications to meet marketing and company objectives

  • Engaging with our audiences through various activities such as social media, blog writing, email campaigns & offline mediums

  • Maintaining ongoing communications through offline media and online platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Hootesuite, Mailchimp & Canva

  • Developing a communications schedule using Airtable and preparing relevant content to meet brand objectives in advance

  • Drafting strong and engaging copy for press releases, editorials, blogs, forums, company news and literature

  • Building a network of media and influencer contacts

  • Researching, creating and updating our websites with company stories, case studies, blogs and more



Key Requirements:




  • The successful applicant will have experience working within PR or communications

  • Able to demonstrate high-quality written content for a variety of mediums

  • Strong creative writing skills – Able to write quickly and creatively to draft engaging copy for press releases, editorials and posts

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

The ideal candidate will be a brand advocate and able to successfully represent the company’s core values of great customer service as well as demonstrating excellent knowledge of bathroom and tiles.



The role requires a person with a proven track record of working in a retail environment, preferably within the bathroom or tile industry, but could suit an ex-plumber or fitter with people & sales skills, and a desire to succeed in a different area of the industry.



The successful applicant will be responsible for a range of duties including being part of the sales team, in addition to a range of administration tasks and stock management.



Key Responsibilities of the role include:




  • Achieving personal sales and store targets across set KPI’s

  • Delivering world class customer service

  • Following all in store procedures

  • Order and payment processing

  • General stock control including lifting and handling of heavy stock

Key Knowledge and Skills requirements:

  • Current HGV Class 2 licence.

  • A Forklift license would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Valid CPC card.

  • Multi-drop experience an advantage.
